My LTC medical director/attending physician practice has been the "keeper" as I navigated primary care burnout and burnout recovery. I think Atul Gawande's "Being Mortal" is the best writing on end of life issues since Elizabeth Kubler-Ross. I care about making sure meaningful medical and social context make it across care transitions. I believe electronic systems are a powerful tool for better care if good clinicians agree to use them for better care. I will eventually retire from medicine but not from the sport of curling.
